111km Antarctic Sled-Pull

Many thanks to George Potts who is taking part in an amazing adventure to raise funds for Rainbows4children this December

He will traverse 111km of terrain in Antarctica (or “one degree” of the Earth’s surface) this Christmas. He sets off from Punta Arenas on the Southern tip of Chile on the 18th of December and will arrive at the Geographic South Pole on the 28th of December.

He will be pulling a sled laden with 40kg of supplies and camping equipment for 9 hours a day in temperatures averaging -25C/-13F (which wind chill takes nearer -50C/-58F). He will be doing so at an elevation of 10,000 ft. above sea level, which physiologically feels like 11,000ft due to atmospheric pressure at the poles.

All this for the children of Mekele, please give generously, by following this link
